I like monovarietal, they are averagely tough wines and with character. In order to produce a wine in purity you must be able to interpret the grape organoleptic characteristics throughout the production chain, if you make some mistake you risk that it’s qualities will change in faults. At the same time, however, if you treat them as you should and if you respect their limits, they allow you in the vinification steps to give your distinctive mark in the winemaking process.

Farm

Terre del Marchesato is in the hearth of Bolgheri countryside. Bolgheri is a small hamlet between the two cities of Livorno and Grosseto, now very well famous all over the world for the quality of the wines here produced. Sheltered by the hills to the East and embraced by the Mediterranean Sea coast to the west, the area has a fairly diverse terroir in terms of geological composition of the soil and very peculiar microclimate.
