wein.plus awards our Bolgheri DOC!

wein.plus, one of the most famous wine platforms in Europe, has chosen to reward our Bolgheri DOC, Marchesale 2019, Emilio Primo Rosso 2020 and Papeo 2020 with three votes that move in the range of excellence.

More precisely:

• Marchesale 2019 scores 93 points out of 100 and is described as: “Strong and deep nose, clear, shiny, quite noble and fresh of ripe black berries with some nuances of tobacco, cedar and dry herbs and a little coffee, tar and licorice in the background. Tense, sour and shiny, juicy dark fruit with smoky and slightly toasted wood aromas, citrus tones, a little pepper, dry paprika and black olives, notes of bitter chocolate on the palate, tannin present but very fine, acidity, a bit of juniper and tar in the background, also salty minerality, still not fully developed, but which already shows a lot of complexity and depth, very good, firm, sour and spicy in the finish with ethereal notes”;

• Emilio Primo Rosso 2020, on the other hand, gets 90 points out of 100 and is accompanied by the description: “Rather tight, young, relatively fresh aroma of ripe black berries and a little black olives with some Mediterranean herbs, mint, notes of juniper and a hint of smoke. Ripe, juicy, youthful fruit, a little spice of cocoa and coffee, more Mediterranean herbs, mint and black olives, crumbly tannin, persistent on the palate, medium power, a little pepper in the background, notes smoked wood, hints of salt, a little depth, it still acquires enamel with the air, excellent finish with fresh, sour and dark juice”.

• Papeo 2020, finally, reaches 90 WP out of a total of 100 and is described as follows: “Firm and quite deep, clearly vegetal, reductive, almost still a little carbonaro, with aromas of yellow fruit and yeast, a little bacon green, smoke and nuts Ripe fruit, firm, warm, melting, but dry, smoky, nutty and herbaceous-vegetable aromas, ripe tannin with some acidic bite, persistent, has power, a certain depth, salty mineral tones, very good , sour, decisive in the finish with grip and still vegetal and smoky notes”.
