The Bolgheri DOC from Terre del Marchesato are back in the spotlight of James Suckling

Once again, our wines end up in the JamesSuckling.com spotlight. To be awarded, this time, are our Bolgheri DOC:

• Marchesale 2019, 92 points: “Some coffee, dark cherries, olives, thyme and dried flowers. Deep and full-bodied on the palate with lots of crushed Mediterranean herbs rounded by nicely chewy tannins. Firm, spicy with a dark core of cherry fruit. Tight now, needs at least a year to come around. Drink from 2024”;
• Emilio Primo Rosso 2020, 91 points: “Sweet plums, spiced currants and a hint of tar and lard on the nose, following through to a medium-to full-bodied palate with some chalky tannins and a flavorful finish in a medium length. Drink now“;
• Papeo 2020, 91 points: “A lightly spicy white with hints of cumin, scented flowers, cooked lemon and apples. A little phenolic on the palate with a medium body followed by a mineral finish. Drink now”.
